I have had the privilege of being a food writer since 2007. My food writing allows me to share inspirational stories and provide valuable information for readers to learn something new about the world of food, and meet some of the farmers and communities that are connected to the landscape.

I have also been fortunate to work as a chef with local farmers and in some wonderful local food venues, including a Relais & Chateau Bed and Breakfast, an award winning Inn on a sustainable educational farm, an internationally known Buddhist meditation center, and with a wood-fired mobile oven that showcased local foods at public and private events.

As a chef, I encourage practicing mindfulness within and beyond the kitchen. I aspire to make local, seasonal foods accessible to everyone, support local growers and food producers, and shed light on some of the nourishing and healing powers of fresh and wild foods.

In 2015 I began to offer thought provoking retreats for writers and foodies in local spaces, outdoor sites, and in other inspirational settings.
